# Growth and marketing

Marketing for companies whose product is genuinely good and whose explanation of it is not. The work starts with the sentence that says what you do, because everything downstream repeats it.

## What the work covers

- **Positioning and messaging**: What you sell, who it is for, what it replaces, and why the alternative is worse. One page that the site, the sales calls and the campaigns all draw from.
- **Websites and landing pages**: Fast, accessible, multilingual where it matters, and structured so search engines and language models can both read them. This site is the reference build.
- **Search and content**: Technical work on the site, and writing that answers the question a buyer actually types. Fewer pages, each worth reading.
- **Paid acquisition**: Search and social campaigns with a cost per qualified enquiry attached to them, stopped when the number stops working.
- **Analytics that answer a question**: Measurement set up around a commercial decision, not a dashboard with forty charts nobody opens. Cookieless where the law and the metric allow.
- **Email and lifecycle**: Sequences that follow up on an enquiry, a trial or a quotation, written in the voice of the person who would otherwise have sent it by hand.

## How a growth engagement runs

1. **Positioning** (Weeks 1 to 2)
Interviews with your sales team and two or three customers, then a written positioning page. Most of the value in the whole engagement is in this document.
You get: A positioning and messaging document you can hand to anyone who writes for you.

2. **The site** (Weeks 3 to 8)
Design and build, in the languages your buyers read, with the technical work done properly rather than added as an afterthought.
You get: A deployed site, the analytics setup, and the pages that carry the positioning.

3. **Acquisition** (Ongoing, monthly)
Content and campaigns against a cost per qualified enquiry. Monthly reporting that shows what was spent and what came back.
You get: A monthly report with spend, enquiries, and what changes next month.

## When we are the wrong choice

- You want volume of leads regardless of quality. We optimise for the opposite.
- The product is not ready and the hope is that marketing will cover for it.
- You need a brand identity with no commercial target attached. A design studio will serve you better.
- The budget assumes results in the first month of an organic channel.

## Tell us what you sell and who is not buying it

Two or three sentences. The reply will usually include one thing you can change this week.
